Kids love every session

Clinical vision therapy,
disguised as adventure

We combined evidence-based dichoptic therapy with incredibly fun game mechanics that kids actually want to play.

Dichoptic Play

Red/blue anaglyph games force the brain to use both eyes together. Popping glowing bubbles has never been so therapeutic.

3D Motion Games

Kids tilt and move their device to navigate immersive 3D worlds and catch floating stars. Motion-powered gameplay builds spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.

Parental Wand

A beautifully designed dashboard to track patching schedules, monitor screen time, and watch your child's progress grow.

You stay informed.
They stay enchanted.

Vision Quest gives parents full visibility into their child's therapy progress while keeping the experience magical and fun for kids.

Patching Schedule

Set daily goals and track patching consistency over time.

Progress Tracking

See how scores improve across games with visual charts.

Safe & Private

No accounts, no data collection, no internet required.

Your child's privacy
is non-negotiable

We believe in zero-data therapy. Here is exactly what Vision Quest does and doesn't do with your information — no legal jargon, just transparency.

Zero Data Collection

Vision Quest does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. No names, no emails, no accounts, no sign-ups — ever. All data stays on your device.

Camera Access (Face Tracking)

Vision Quest requests camera access to measure your child's distance from the screen using Apple's TrueDepth face tracking, helping protect their eyes during play sessions. No photos or videos are ever captured, saved, or transmitted. Camera data is processed in real-time on-device and immediately discarded.

Notification Permission

If you opt in, Vision Quest sends local notifications to remind your child about daily therapy sessions, celebrate streak milestones, and nudge them to keep training. These notifications are generated entirely on-device — no push notification servers or cloud services are involved. You can disable them at any time in iOS Settings.

Motion Sensors (Gyroscope)

Some 3D therapy games use your device's built-in gyroscope and accelerometer (CoreMotion) to detect device tilt and rotation. This enables immersive head-movement gameplay that trains spatial awareness. Motion data is used only in real-time for gameplay and is never recorded or stored.

On-Device Storage Only

Game progress, scores, difficulty settings, screen time sessions, patching schedules, and parent-set PINs are all saved locally on your device using Apple's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device — there is no cloud sync, no iCloud backup integration, and no server communication of any kind.

Zero Third-Party Tracking

Vision Quest contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no tracking pixels, and no third-party services. We do not use Firebase, Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or any similar tools. The app works 100% offline — no internet connection is ever required.

Apple TrueDepth API Disclosure

📷 TrueDepth Camera & Face Data

Vision Quest uses Apple's TrueDepth camera (via ARKit) on supported devices solely to measure the distance between the user's face and the screen. We read only the face position coordinates (ARFaceAnchor.transform) to calculate screen distance in centimeters.

Purpose

Eye Distance Protection — Warns children when the device is held too close (<35cm) to protect developing eyes.
Session Readiness Check — Verifies proper distance (25–55cm) before therapy sessions for clinical effectiveness.

What We Do NOT Access

✕ No facial geometry or mesh data   ✕ No blend shapes or expressions
✕ No biometric identifiers   ✕ No photos or videos captured
✕ No data that could identify an individual

Data Storage & Sharing

Face position data is processed entirely on-device in real-time and exists only in volatile memory (RAM). It is never saved to disk, transmitted over any network, or shared with any third party. When a session ends, all face tracking data is immediately discarded.

📋 Full Privacy Disclosure

Permissions We Request

Camera — For TrueDepth face tracking (screen distance monitoring) to protect your child's eyes. No images are captured or stored.
Notifications — For local therapy reminders, streak alerts, and session nudges. Entirely on-device.
Motion & Accelerometer — For gyroscope-based 3D games that train spatial awareness.

Data Stored Locally

Player profile (avatar, name), game progress & scores, adaptive difficulty settings, screen time session logs, patching schedule & reminders, app preferences and settings. All stored via Apple's on-device UserDefaults — never transmitted.

What We Do NOT Do

✕ We do not collect personal information
✕ We do not use analytics or tracking tools
✕ We do not display advertisements
✕ We do not make network requests
✕ We do not share data with third parties
✕ We do not store data in the cloud

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Vision Quest is designed for children and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Since we collect zero personal information and operate entirely offline, no parental consent for data collection is required. The app contains no in-app purchases, no ads, and no external links.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete all Vision Quest data at any time by simply deleting the app from your device. No residual data remains on any server because no server is ever contacted.
